Bannarit Rittaporn 1/18 ; 1972 Phantom VI Mulliner Park Ward. There's something wrong in the proportions of this model but it's a one-off. (I'm not sure it's a good reason!)	Phantom VI Mulliner Park Ward. Compare the rear doors, the swage line along the doors, the size of the rear quarter lights, the length of the rear wings and the boot line, etc. The scale model is far from making the grade !

(The Ghost Club makes it one of its duties to warn collectors against some dishonest practices) : Crown Models 1/43 ; "1927 Phantom I" of the "Maharajah of India" !!! This is a modified Rio 1923 Twenty model which claims to be a Phantom ! : wrong size, wrong bonnet, wrong everything. And wrong owner: everyone knows that there was never a "Maharajah of India". Each State had its own. That's swindling with a capital S. A British dealer was sentenced to a heavy fine because he had told a customer that the car he was selling had belonged to a Lord. At least the Silver Spirit was a Silver Spirit !	Crown Models (again) ; 1928 Phantom I "Park-Ward landaulette, Duke of Edinburgh". Only here to prove that my comments to the left can be taken quite seriously : The Duke of Edinburgh never owned any pre-war RR, neither second-hand nor new - for a good reason, in 1928 he was 7 years old and he was not made a Duke until 20th Nov 1947 ! This Matchbox conversion is a farce... If you tell me this "artisan" is a crook, I will not disagree because some specialized collectors will buy these models ONLY BECAUSE they're alleged royal cars, which they are absolutely NOT. I've been told that this model maker is rife under another name: same limited editions of 5 to 10, same spurious owners, same fake or fancy coachworks - about 90% of his production which counts at least 175 different models ! In case of doubt, contact the club before writing a cheque or ask him a photo of the real car and proof of history : there's still 1 chance out of 10 the model is correctly described !
